Our Beliefs
At
the
center
of
our
beliefs
is
everyone’s
need
for
a
personal
relationship
with
God
through
Jesus
Christ.
The
Bible,
which
is
uniquely
inspired
by
God
and
absolutely
true,
reveals
God’s
plan
for
this
relationship.
As
the
Bible
teaches,
there
is
one
God,
who
exists
eternally
in
three
persons
–
Father,
Son
and Holy Spirit – each possessing the full attributes of God.
God
created
us
to
have
an
ongoing
personal
relationship
with
Him.
We,
by
nature,
through
our
actions
and
attitudes
ignore
and
reject
who
God
is
and
His
plan
for
us
–
the
Bible
calls
this
sin.
Because
God
is
holy,
He
cannot
accept
our
sin
and
this
causes
our
relationship
with
Him
to
be
broken.
The
Bible
teaches that the penalty for sin is death – which is eternal separation from God.
Jesus
Christ,
the
one
and
only
Son
of
God,
lived
a
sinless
life
on
earth
and
voluntarily
paid
for
our
sin
by
dying
on
a
cross
as
our
substitute.
What
this
means
is
that
Jesus
Christ
provided
the
means
by
which
our
broken
relationship
with
God
could
be
completely
restored
–
this
is
salvation!
Salvation
comes only through God’s grace and must be received personally by individual repentance and faith.
We
also
believe
Jesus
was
born
of
a
virgin,
died
on
the
cross,
rose
from
the
dead,
and
now
acts
as
the
only
mediator
between
us
and
God.
Someday
Jesus
will
return
to
earth
to
fulfill
God’s
plan.
Until
then,
the
Holy
Spirit
equips
those
who
have
by
faith
received
God’s
grace
with
spiritual
gifting,
allowing
for
growth and service in the local church.
